Finding Your Way to Disney World, Florida

by admin on June 6, 2011

If you have been considering a Florida vacation at the Disney World but are getting cold feet due to its potential cost, please think again. With a little advance planning as your key strategy, the budget may not be as overwhelming as you think.

As with any task, when thorough planning is done, execution has a higher chance of being less complicated, even problem-free. A similar approach should be considered in taking a vacation. With the number of choices and information available online, if you set aside time to check around, your Disney vacation may be well contained within an affordable budget. Following are some suggestions to take note of:

First on the list is when to go. The timing of the trip is essential. Vacation packages or travel deals are generally more attractive in the months of April and May than during spring break. Promotional rates for airfares or hotel accommodations are much better during this period than on any other time of the year.

Second item is where to stay. The distance of your lodging to the theme park is another item that requires forethought since chances are hotels close by are most likely to be pricey. However, if the place is close enough for you to save on gas or fare during your entire stay, then it is something that is worth taking into account. It would be good to do a bit of research on the internet for the ongoing rates. Some suggested sites for information on very affordable packages are Orbitz Travel, Hotwire.com and Priceline.com.

Third is to consider travel clubs. It would be good to tap into what non-profit organizations can bring forth to your planning. For instance with the American Automobile Association, apart from bookings and discounted travels, did you know that AAA (known too as “triple-A”) also has trip advisor assistance among its services? Meanwhile, the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) provide great benefits to its members such as waived booking fees, discounted car rental rates and even tips on vacationing with pets! Such clubs also arrange regular tour groups to Florida. And while we are on the topic, why not check on special vacation packages for employees since there are some companies that include such among its staff benefits? Or tap into your church or local communities for activities that include group travel. If none is forthcoming then why not initiate one?

Fourth is to give into the advantages of a travel agent. Apart from having the skills, your agent will have the network and even restricted information on special rates and packages.

A little out-of-the-box-thinking is what you may just need to get this dream vacation going. Now start packing and have a safe trip!
