The great theme park Disneyland Park is a located in Anaheim, California is the only theme park to be designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. It was known as Disneyland when it opened on 1955 and in 1998, the theme park was re-branded as “Disneyland Park” to distinguish it from the giant Disneyland Resort complex.
Mr. Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting many amusement parks during the 1930s and 1940s. Then his dream came into reality with a dreamy world Disney Park. The construction began in 1954 and the park was unveiled in 1955.
Disneyland has undergone a number of extensions with times like in 1966 New Orleans Square, in 1972 Bear Country, and in 1993 Mickey’s Toontown. And finally Disney California Adventure Park was built on the site of Disneyland’s original parking lot to expand on the one-park, one-hotel property. In the late 1990s construction work began and opened in 2001. Though it is smaller than Orlando’s Walt Disney World, Disneyland California or “Disneyland Resort” holds the place of the first Disney Park and the only Disney theme park in which Walt actually walked.
Additional components of this Disney resort are a another theme park, a shopping, dining and entertainment complex, Disney’s California Adventure Park; Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Downtown Disney; a remodeled Disneyland Hotel, and the Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel.
The Disneyland was re-created at Disney World in Orlando as the classic “Magic Kingdom” theme park. Now this theme park is called “Disneyland® Park which is undergoing a giant renovation. Friends and Families may plan a trip of at least two days, to visit both parks.
